Tulaichean II is a fast and responsive boat, well known on the local racing circuit with excellence performance in regattas. She is fully prepared for racing with new laminate sails complementing her quality Dacron sail wardrobe. She also features rod rigging. Designed as a racer/cruiser by Jean Berret with interior finish by Philippe Starck.
Mechanical Systems
Located centrally aft of the saloon is the Volvo MD2003 28hp 3 cylinder diesel engine. Last serviced Jan 2018 Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. The drive train is direct, culminating with a three blade Maxprop folding propeller.

Construction
Built in 1991 the Beneteau First 38 is constructed of solid GRP laminates. The decks are composite with a variety of core materials in different areas, and the interior makes extensive use of GRP liners and pre-cut and fabricated modules. The bottom was copper coated in 2016 and anodes changed in 2018.
